 Hi everybody! My name is Nareh Abovian, and I am honored to be serving you all as this year’s Recording Secretary of our Central Council. My home parish is Holy Apostles, Tujunga, where I continue to serve as the Advisor of our beloved ACYO. I pray this year is blessed with a deepened faith for our youth, and strengthened connection between one another.

Outside of ACYO and Central Council, I am an artist, a music lover, and a psychology student at UC San Diego. With my recent move and previous year of traveling to get to know all of you from different parts of the Western Diocese, I am blessed to have community with so many churches and the amazing people in them!

My hope for being on Central Council this year includes developing our youth’s relationship to Christ through worship, education, service, and fellowship. I also hope that ACYO inspires a personal drive in each and every member to know the Word of God and to live by it. I am happy to say that the previous year fostered much community between and amongst chapters, and I pray it continues to grow in the upcoming year. I hope our chapters feel increasingly connected to one another and feel welcome to reach out to neighboring chapters and Central Council members with any questions or needs, whether they are personal, spiritual, or organizational. I’m so thankful and beyond excited to get to work with you all again this year!
